🌟We are back with the Artists Spotlight! An inspirational and insightful continuation of a collaborative project between the RISE Collective and Diverse Artists Network to spotlight diverse and creative talent across Bristol! This month, we have a wonderful discussion between @dj_bashmal and Charli Graff ! ⭐ Bashart Malik is an astounding Director, Cinematographer and DJ. He is part of the Diverse Artist Network on their trustee board, supporting the delivery of high-quality creativity that amplifies unheard voices and enhances engagement✊🏽👬🏾👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏽 Over the last 20 years, he has been producing music videos, features and commercials! He is known for delivering immersive screening events and is developing a VR and AI project, using innovative tech, including a collaboration with emerging artists for the BBC’s New Creatives. This Artist Network interview is hosted by the wonderful Charli Graff, a press officer here with us at the RISE collective! Charli is a literary critic, focusing on the experiences of the queer community and challenging the hegemony within journalism interview-by- interview ! 🎤 Their writing focuses on drawing out the nuances between the media industry and the tensions at play with marginalised talent🏆 Bash and Charli discuss the rise of tech and digitalisation within filmmaking. ⚡️WE HOSTED A YOUTH VOICE PANEL !!⚡️ over the past few weeks we worked alongside the amazing @youngwestminster and pulled off a Youth Voice Panel at 📍The Kings Fund Centre as part of the Level Up Youth Work Conference!! 🎤 Our panel amplified the voices of six young people across the boroughs of london as they told us what they want to see reflected in their youth services⭐️ We were so lucky to have young people from @youngwestminster @young_kandc @young_ealing @youngcamdenfoundation @theyoungharrowfoundation Our panel, gave such insightful knowledge on such a range of topics including the importance of representation and diversity in youth services, how to honour trusteeship in your organisations, discussing how AI chatbots are changing how people navigate their emotions💭 and some key advice on identifying sustainable opportunities for young carers!!👥 A huge thank you to all of our panellists! youth voice is here and it’s ready to be heard👏🏽 ⭐️If you would like us to host a panel at your next event, get in touch !!
