AcKnowledge

AcKnowledge supports groups of young people to use spoken word poetry and discussion based activities to find their authentic voice & connect to its power. Participants created innovative digital content that captures their spoken word poetry and use live performance & social media to speak their truth to power, to amplify their voices, to influence their community and eventually wider society, demanding they be acknowledged.

AcKNOWLEDGE //  A 25 hour curriculum assessed, spoken word, poetry, creative writing and performance project - in-person for school/college/alternative education students, led by experienced artists and facilitators and young artists trained and mentored by RISE in on our Creative Youth Facilitator Training.

94% of participants said AcKnowledge would help them both in their Performing Arts course and beyond.  "Through participating in AcKnowledge, students developed the confidence, ambition and creative skills to thrive academically and in their personal development and employability skills”.
